Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death and funeral services for Mrs. Wyoma Bane Bean, age 95, of Hiawassee, who passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at her home.
Mrs. Bean was born in Conway, South Carolina, a daughter of the late John Harley Creel and the late Margaret Elizabeth Sessions Creel. Mrs. Bean was a nurse, and before moving to Hiawassee, she and her husband had lived and worked in Robbinsville, North Carolina operating Windwood Rest Home. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James N. Bane, Sr., and second husband, Clifford Ray Bean.
Family members that will treasure the memory of their loved one are: daughter, Wanda B. Stuckey, of Hayesville, North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Bane Reamsnyder and her husband, Terry, of Blue Ridge, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, James Nelson Bane, Jr., and his wife, Belinda, of Hiawassee; step-children: Ray Bean and his wife, Mary, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Michael Bean, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Susan McKenzie, and her husband, Mike, of Polkton, North Carolina; Nancy McBride, of Myrtle Beach; and Karen Bean, of Eden, North Carolina; Six grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren also survive, along with a host of friends and other relatives.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, July 25th, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with Rev. Calvin Murphy officiating. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Joshua Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Trae Bane, Jared Bane, Chad Giddens, and Patrick Richardt. Entombment will be in Southeastern Memorial Gardens in Myrtle Beach.
There will be visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, July 25th, for one hour before the service starts.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Margaret Elizabeth "Bessie" Creel Foundation, Conway Hospital, Conway, South Carolina.
