Willie Leo Monds

Mr. Willie Leo Monds, age 78 of Blue Ridge, passed away April 17, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Monds was born July 7, 1936 in Dunn, NC, to the late Malcolm Monds and the late Margaret Denning Monds. A member of the Baptist faith, he was preceded in death by father, Malcolm Monds, mother Margaret Monds, sister, Sarah Dymun and son, Malcolm H. Monds.
Mr. Monds served his country in the U.S. Air Force before working for the FAA as an air traffic controller for many years.
Survivors include: daughter, Terry Bennett, son and daughter-in-law, Clay (Joanna) Monds, sister, Sonyia (Ed) Norris, 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
