William Pound, 49, found peace in the Lord's arms on May 9, 2020.
William, "Bill" to his family, was born in St. Petersburg, FL. Although he loved his home here in the mountains, he would be drawn back to the beach throughout his life. A multi talented man with many interests, he was an avid musician who customized his own guitars, surfer, and hockey player. He also excelled with technology and was a self-proclaimed history buff. William's skills as a surgical assistant made him an asset in any operating theater and was constantly in demand. Whether assisting in the simplest surgeries to the most complex, his co-workers always said he made it all look so easy.
William is preceded in death by his loving dad, Gary Pound. He survived by his mother, Lois Pound of St. Petersburg, FL; brother Sean Pound (Renae), nephew, Eric, and niece, Allie of North Port, FL; cousins Robert, Barbara, Tracy and Scott Torrance of St. Petersburg; his beloved wife, Cindy Pound of Blairsville, GA, stepdaughters Lauren Orlando (Anthony) and Cameron Small (Joey), also of Blairsville, and two grandchildren, Cole and Erin, who brought him many smiles.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 13, 2020 at Grace Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jon Jacobs officiating.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Grace Presbyterian Church Deacon's Fund or to dbsatampaybay.org in memory of William Pound
