William "Sam" Tackett

William Ervin Tackett (Sam) age 85 of Blairsville, GA passed away peacefully at home with his wife of 60 years by his side on Monday, January 30, 2023.

Sam loved outdoors and fishing in Florida where he lived for 30 years.  Sam and Connie were residential contractors and built homes in Florida for many families to enjoy.  They have lived in the house they built in Blairsville, GA for 20 years.

Sam was a kind, gentle and loyal soul.  He was an entrepreneur and intelligent but with common sense. 

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Rose Tackett and his

brother, Kenneth Tackett.

Surviving Sam are his loving wife, Connie Tackett, his son David Tackett and daughter in law, Lisa Tackett;  two grandchildren, Lindsey Tackett English and Daniel Tackett; one great granddaughter, Eden Grace and nieces, nephew and sister in law, Eunice Tackett.

Memorial services will be held at Cochran Funeral Home, Blairsville on Sunday, February 5 at 2:00 PM with visitation starting at 1:30.
