The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces Funeral Services for William Ryder Deyton, age 4 of Blairsville who passed away on July 7, 2019 at Union General Hospital lovingly surrounded by his family.
Ryder leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving father and mother, Ryan and Kayla Deyton of Blairsville; sister, Destiny Deyton; brothers, Karsyn Deyton and Mason Deyton; maternal grandparents, Mickey and Patsy Botts; paternal grandparents, Audrey and Evelyn Deyton; great grandmother, Betty Tanner; and aunts and uncles, Tommy and Chenoa Abercrombie, Doug and Wendy Abercrombie, Don and Peggy Deyton, Danny and Cathy Deyton, and Kenny and Melanie Dyer.
"On July 26, 2014 God allowed us to be the parents of a miracle. He answered the prayer that we had prayed over and over again. "Dear God, please let us keep our sweet baby, and please let him be happy." It was a simple, yet powerful prayer.
We are blessed beyond measure that God chose us to be his family. He may not have been able to talk, but his smile and the way he would look at you would light up a room. His beautiful blue eyes could look through to your soul with pure love. We always told him he was an angel on earth, and we truly believe he was.
We know without any doubt on Sunday morning July 7, 2019 that Ryder went peacefully, in the blink of an eye, in our arms, to be with Jesus. Ryder is now reunited with many loved ones. He is running the streets of gold and resting in the arms of his Aunt Michelle.
Ryder loved to spend time with his family and was the most loving child with a hug unlike any other. He also enjoyed playing with his toys, some more special than others. His favorite toy, a giraffe named Giggles, was laid to rest with him.
He will always be loved and missed by all who knew him. The many lives he touched will be forever changed and strengthened by his love and perseverance."
Funeral Services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Rogers officiating. Special music was presented by the Liberty Baptist Church Choir. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Alexander officiating at the graveside. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Kenny Dyer, Mickey Botts, Doug Abercrombie, and Tommy Abercrombie.
The family gathered together with friends at Cochran Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m.
Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville is honored to be entrusted to serve this family.
