William Roger Tallent

Mr.William Roger Tallent, a loving father and grandfather, age 58, of Copperhill, TN, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Roger was born in Copperhill, TN on August 21, 1952 to Robert & Christine Deal Tallent. He was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. He loved to fish and hunt and was an avid TN Volunteer Fan. Rogers grand kids were his life.
Rogers wife, Judy Holder Tallent preceded him in death in January of 2005.
Roger is survived by his children, Charlie & Adela Tallent of Topeka, Kansas, Greg Tallent of Postell, TN, Chris & Kenneth Knight of Knoxville, TN; one brother, Aaron Tallent of Gordon GA; eight grand- children, Brittany Tallent, Logan Tallent, Jordon Tallent, Ryne McCullough, Michelle Gage, Marlaina Gage, Adam Tallent, and C. J. Tallent.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Hyatt officiating. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers, Roger Hampton, Rick Hyatt, Mitchell Kimsey, Jason Deal, Rusty Boggs, and Ralph Hyatt. Honoary pallbearers will be Bobby Clayton , L.
W.Smith, and Jerry Lewis. Interment will follow in the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
