William "Bill" Moesker

The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory announces Graveside Services for Mr. William (Bill) D. Moesker who peacefully passed away on Sunday morning, May 24, 2020 at his home.

William (Bill) D. Moesker, born November 26th, 1935 in Muskegan, Michigan to Jacob and Grace Moesker. Died May 24th, 2020 at home with family after a short illness.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce; daughter, Lisa; son-in-law, Daniel Rudisill; nephew, Jeffery Mascoe; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary "Mickey" Mascoe; and nephew, Randell Ringelspaugh.

He has been a resident of Blairsville and member of Providence United Methodist Church for 45 years. He was a mechanical engineer and received his education from the University of Florida. He spent his professional career in the aerospace industry providing leadership in the development of the guidance system for the Apollo moon shot and the nose wheel steering for the space shuttle. He was an avid hiker, gardener, and enjoyed numerous hobbies.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Martin Loyley and church clergy will preside. Seating at social distancing will be provided graveside. Memorial donations may be made to Providence United Methodist Church, 3075 Pat Colwell Road, Blairsville, Georgia 30512.
