William Ernest "Bill" Hunt, Jr., age 61, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 at his home. "Bill" was born Thursday, April 4, 1946 in Pike, KY to the late William Ernest Hunt, Sr. and the late Majorie Bevines Hunt. He was a member of Appalachia Baptist Church, US Army veteran serving in Vietnam, and a member of the Morganton Masonic Lodge # 201. He loved and adored Cathy. He enjoyed wood working, gardening and loved his John Deer Mower. Bill stated that he hoped there would be grass in heaven so he could still use a John Deer Mower.
Survivors include: wife, Cathy Ann Kendall Hunt of Morganton, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Mary & Kevin Muth, CO, daughter, Sherry Morgan of Birmingham, AL, brother & sister in law, Carlis Debbie Hunt of Oak Hill, OH, brother & sistern in law, Craig & Rhonda Hunt of Ratcliff, OH, sister, Linda Oswald of Dayton, OH, four grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Gary Parris officiating. Music was provided by Debbie Cochran, Interment followed in Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Bill Kendall, Henry Hooper, Ricky Greene, Tony Amaral, Randy Hooper, and Steve Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers included: Keith Barnes, Joe Queen, Danny Kendall, Jimmy Summey, and Jarrell Bevins, .
