William Gustin Overby

Mr.William Gustin (W.G.) Overby, age 79 of Blue Ridge, passed away in Erlanger Medical Center on December 17, 2018. Mr. Overby was born June 1, 1939 in Richland, Georgia to the late Hugh and late Maggie Overby. He was a retired Rehabilitation Counselor with a Master's Degree in Counseling for the State of Georgia. He moved to Blue Ridge in 1993 from Americus, Georgia and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Epworth, Georgia and the Sonrise Sunday School Class. He had a heart for children and young people. He was known for his giving spirit to others and his enjoyment of sporting events.

There are no family survivors.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 4pm in the cemetery of First Baptist Church Epworth, Georgia with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Georgia Sheriff's Boys Ranch PO Box 1000 Stockbridge, Georgia 30281 in memory of W. G. Overby.
