William "Audrey" Deyton

William Audrey Deyton, 97, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at home in Blairsville, GA. William was born April 1, 1925, in Blairsville, GA to Thomas Bright and Mae Deyton. 

Audrey was preceded in death by father, Thomas Deyton; mother, Mae Deyton; son, Anthony Deyton; daughter, Louvendia Weaver; daughter, Michelle Tanner; grandson, Ryder Deyton; brother, Harlie Deyton; brother, Raymond Deyton; brother, Robert Deyton; brother, Riley Deyton; brother, Ronald Deyton 

He is survived by his spouse of 41 years, Evelyn Deyton; sisters Inis (Burl) Conley, Mary White, Stella Cunningham, Ozie Cunningham, Odena Gibson; sons Don (Peggy) Deyton, Danny (Cathy) Deyton, and Ryan (Kayla) Deyton; and daughter Melanie Dyer. W.A. is also survived by many grand children and great-grand children.

William was of the baptist faith and long time member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was one of the founders and charter members of the Union County Fire and Rescue Squad.

He deeply loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was well known throughout the community and was known as a fabrication welder.

Funeral Service, on Friday September 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville with Rev Gary Rogers officiating. Music provided by Liberty Church choir and nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemtery in Blairsville, Georgia.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tom Deyton, Caleb Bragg, Larry Cunningham, Jimmy Thomas, Shaun Conley, Jamie Gibson.

The family will receive friends at Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
