William Allen "bill" Dickey

Mr. William Allen Dickey, known as "Bill",age 74, of Murphy, NC passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Dickey was born on June 7, 1935 in Ohio, to Roy and Hazel Louise Queen Dickey. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church at Wolf Creek, a US Navy Veteran, retired Boilermaker with Tenn. Chemical Company. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife, Sarah Emilee Cook Dickey and Brother, George Robert Dickey.

Survivors include: sons and daughters in law, Terry (Brenda) Dickey and Tim (Lisa) Dickey, daughters and sons in laws, Karan (Charles) Woodall and Sandra (Richard) Arp, sister, Margaret Starks, grandchildren, Aaron Ausburn, Leigh Anne Gladson, Linsey Taylor, Kristyn Dickey, Cauren Dickey and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Crisp officiating. Music will be provided by the Renshaw Family. Pallbearers will be Gary Ledford, Donnie Ledford, David Taylor, Brent Gladson, Alex Starks and Michael Starks. Honorary Pallbearers, Gerald Ledford, Sam Panther, Hoyt Carr, Sid Arp, Lewis Foster, Virgil Allen, Don Chancy, Leroy Ledford, J.L. Galloway and Boilermakers from Tennessee Chemical. Burial will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park.

The family will recive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Saturday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
