Willa "Bill" Helton Ledford, age 93, of the Wolfcreek Community in Cherokee County of NC, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Life Care Center, Nursing Home, in Ducktown, TN. She was born in Isabella, TN on November 25, 194 to the late Wesley J. and Ethel Mull Helton.
She was preceded in death by husband, Carl "Bud" Ledford, daughter, Sherry Sue Ledford, grandson, David Prichard, four brothers, Buford, Clifford "Tip", Weldon and Glen Helton.
Willa is survived by daughter & son-in-law, Betty & Charles Pritchard of Isabella, TN; daughter & son-in-law, Barbara & Ray Ledford of Marietta, GA; and son & daughter-in-law, Charles "Sonny" & Judy Curtis of Marietta, GA. Four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Wolfcreek, NC Friday, October 10, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend G.W. Mathis and Reverend Fred Lunsford conducting the service. The family will meet with their friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening October 9, from 5- 8:00 P.M. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell Ledford, Eric Curtis, Adam Hooper, Seth Ledford, Malachi Kaplan and Terry Watkins.
