Willa Mae Holloway

Mrs. Willa Mae Holloway, age 82 of Marble, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. Mrs. Holloway was born December 29, 1931 in Murphy, NC to the late Ottis Turner and the late Ora Townson Turner. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by husband, Claude William Holloway, sister, Helen Nix, and brother, J.N. Turner. Willa Mae was a devoted mother and truly cherished the time she spent with family and friends. She enjoyed her beautiful flowers, watching birds from her window, and listening to gospel music.

Survivors include: daughter, Cathy and Randy Davidson, daughter, Glenda Gutierrez, son, Keith Holloway, daughter, Sharon Moss, son, Danny Holloway and Linda Curtis, daughter, Donna and Willard Payne, daughter, Janice and Richard Holland, daughter, Teresa and Allen Hayes, sister, Christine Eller, brother, Clyde Turner, brother, Robert Turner, 29 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Also special care giver Ida Sue Rowland.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Hardin and Rev. David Nix officiating. Music provided by Rev. Aud and Becky Brown. Interment will follow in the Holloway Family Cemetery. Pallbearers include grandsons Jeff Martin, Jamie Moss, Brian Jackson, Ray Gutierrez, Joshua Gutierrez, Matt Gutierrez, David Gutierrez, and Shawn Gutierrez.
