Wesley Fegreus

The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces Memorial Services for Wesley Warren Fegreus, age 90 of Blairsville, passed away Monday evening, June 23, 2014.

Wes was born April 3, 1924 in Worcester, Massachusetts to the late Carl Richard & Alice (Morse) Fegreus. He was a dedicated member of Choestoe Baptist Church and actively sought ways to help and volunteer within the church. Wes moved to Blairsville from Miami, Florida after retiring with 30 years of service as a Financial Analyst from Eastern Airlines. He was talented and had a passion for growing Orchid flowers and even had his own green house behind his home in Miami. Wes and his wife, Phyllis were avid campers and they took their motor home all across the east coast enjoying each others company and exploring the sights.

Wes will be warmly remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by his family: sister, Bernice O'Hara; nephew & godson, Daniel O'Hara, Jr.; niece and her husband, Sandra & Pat Kirkpatrick; niece, Sherry Fegreus. Also, sharing in his legacy is Stephanie & Neil Martin, Stacie & Shaun Clark, Samantha & Gerred Staiger, MSG Kim Fegreus (USA, Ret.) and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by wife of 39 years, Elizabeth Wooster Fegreus; wife of 31 years, Phyllis Oare Fegreus; his parents; and brothers, Francis, Carlton and Richard Fegreus.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Choestoe Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Zollinger officiating. Special music will be presented by Buddy Hunter. Inurnment will follow at the Church Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the United States Army and the North Georgia Honor Guard.
