Retired Lt. Wayne G. Krakora 78 years old took his final journey to the angels loving arms May 29, 2017. There he was met by his parents Christine Krakora (Guth), Charles Krakora. Brothers Charles, Ralph, Donald. Sister in laws Elaine, Ruth. Daughter Maria. Grandson Jimmy. Wayne served and protected his entire life; Country, Community, friends and family. He was always willing to make sacrifices to help others in need always giving never wanting anything in return. His sense of humor and smile made bad situations tolerable.As a young man he was a lifeguard and put on swimming shows at Children's hospitals. He was also a camp counselor teaching horseback riding. As a member of the army, special forces most notably serving in East Berlin during the cold war. Wayne became a Solon Police officer in 1962. During his tenure at the Solon Police department, he attended classes at Kent State University and was there in 1970, as a student, as well as a police officer when the University and Kent reached out to the area police for assistance. He was also working during the Hough riots. Retiring at the rank of lieutenant in 1985.At retirement he received a key to the City and a Governor's commendation for undercover work he conducted. Upon retirement Wayne moved to Georgia with his wife Connie, where he was able to focus his attention on church and family.Surrounded by the mountains he closed his eyes for the last time with family by his side. He leaves behind his loving family: Wife Connie, daughters Christina (James), Anita (Dale) Angie, Robin (Robert). Grandfather of 11, great grandfather of 7.
