Mrs. Wanda Gail Conley, age 55, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Union County Nursing Home. Wanda was born Wednesday, February 27, 1952 in Cherokee County, NC to Buster Laney and the late Willa Nell Totherow. She was a member of Morganton Baptist Church. Wanda loved arts, crafts, quilting and sewing.
Survivors include: husband, Charles Conley of Morganton, GA; father & step mother, Buster & Aline Laney of the Martin Creek Community in Murphy, NC; son & daughter-in-law, Casey & Mary Conley of Blairsville, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Holli & Eric Williams of McCaysville, GA; sister, Susie Stokes of Gastonia, NC; sister, Lesa Lamberson of Lebanon, TN; brother, Mark Laney the Martin Creek Community in Murphy, NC; sister, Missy Laney of Andrews, NC; grandsons, Bretton Williams, Gage Conley, Cadan Williams; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14, 2007 at 2:00PM from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Jones officiating. Music will be provided by Christine Rogers. Interment will follow in Ivy Log Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Steve Laney, Darrell Laney, David Laney, Eddie Farner, Dean Farner, and Gary Swanson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Thursday, September 13.
