Viva Beatrice Morris

Mrs. Viva Beatrice Morris, age 89 of Suches, GA passed away July 16, 2014 at the Union General Hospital. Mrs. Morris was born February 1, 1925 in Union County, GA, to the late James Arsey Towe and the late Ollie Iavia Rogers Towe. She was Baptist in faith and she enjoyed gardening and sewing in her spare time. Not only did she like tending flowers, she also liked photographing them as well. She was a loving mother and grandmother and she adored her family. She was preceded in death by husband, Grover D. Morris, two grandsons, Eli Morris and Josh Jones, one great-grandson, Ryker Lunsford, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include: two sons and four daughters, Vaughn and (Cathy) Morris, Kathleen Thomason, Malissa Brown, Sheila and (Gary) Jones, Gloria and (Junior) Lunsford, and Steve and (Loretta) Morris, one sister, Bonnel Stepp, sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and one step great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Randolph Jones officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Randolph Jones and Wayne Morgan. Interment will follow in the Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery off of hwy 60. Pallbearers include Cody Thomason, Logan Brown, Jamie Lunsford, Joey Jones, Jason Lunsford, Shane Morris, and Zach Morris. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Blackwell, A.J. Young and Coltyn Young.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
