Virginia Hooper

Virginia Lee Hooper, 96, of Franklin, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Clay County Care Center  in Hayesville, NC. Virginia was born December 10, 1925, in Madison, FL to Robert and Viola Wheeler.  

Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wheeler; mother, Viola Wheeler; and her first husband, Marion Reams.

She is survived by her husband,  Max Hooper; daughter,  June Dietz; step-son, Derek Hooper; grandson, Steven Andrew Rosser; grandson,  Marion Dale Rosser; and grandson,  Hugh Dean Rosser, and 10 great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.  Virginia loved gardening and cooking.

Celebration of Life Services will be held  on Sunday, August 28th at 4:00pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church.  Music will be provided by the Hooper family.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: James Hooper, Steven Rosser, Marion Rosser, Hugh Rosser, Wes Hooper, and Tony Hood. Burial will be in Cornerstone Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Cornerstone Baptist Church Sunday, August 28th, 3:00 pm - 4:00pm.
