Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death of Mrs. Viola Puett Presley, age 84, of Snellville, Georgia, who passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.
Mrs. Presley was born in Hiawassee, Georgia, on January 30, 1926, a daughter of the late Andy Puett and Corea Ellis Puett. Mrs. Presley was a resident of Lithonia, Georgia for most of her life. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church in Decatur, Georgia, and was a graduate of Southern Business College. In the past, she had been employed as an accountant for Belvedere Builders and Green Brothers Nursery. Mrs. Presley was a mother of two, a businesswoman, and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Andy and Corea Ellis Puett; her husband, Melbourne Presley; two sisters: Euna Moore, and Geneva Perkins; and a brother, Paul Puett.
Surviving family members include a son, Craig Presley of Snellville; son and daughter-in-law, Melton and Susanne Presley, of Denmark; two sisters: Kathleen Spooner, of Tucker, Georgia, and Verna Puett, of Blairsville; a grandson, Simon Presley, of Denmark.
