Mr. Vernon Floyd Boggs, age 92, of Copperhill, TN passed away November 11, 2009 at Copper Basin Medical Center.
He was a Mason, for over 50 years , member of the Deleware Lodge.
Mr. Boggs was born on December 24, 1916 in Isabella, TN, to "Bass" and Bess Boggs.
Mr. Boggs was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Edna Larrimore Boggs, sons, Roger V. Boggs and Perry Boggs.
He is survived by: daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie B. Byrd & Dan Theodocion; of Copperhill, TN, and Patrycia B. & Chip Arnold of Blairsville, GA; grandson, Jay Byrd of Marietta, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Joe & Ruth Ann Boggs of Marietta, GA; granddaughters, Inga Schorn of Marietta, GA, Calina Killey of TX; God Child, Sandi Collins of Copperhill, TN; 5 Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held Friday,November 13, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery
The family will recive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers family suggest sending a contribution to the Crisis Center of Ducktown, P.O. Box 24, Ducktown, TN 37326.
