Vera "vee" Russell

Mrs. Vera "Vee" Russell, age 91 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Mrs. Russell was born Thursday, September 23, 1915 in Towns County, GA to the late John F. Nicholson and the late Lula Mae Eller Nicholson. Mrs. Russell was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include: husband, Lawson Russell of Hiawassee, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Helen Russell of Lake Wells, FL, sisters, Glayds Corn and Jeanette Melton, both of Marietta, GA and Lula Mae Hunter and Juanita Nicholson, both of Hiawassee, GA, grandson, Douglas Russell of Akron, OH and granddaughter, Autumn Russell of West Palm Beach, FL. Many Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Ledford officiating. Music will be provided by The Moss Family. Interment will follow in Osborn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Anthony Hunter, Alden Hunter, Dewitt Berrong, Dion Eller, Charles Corn and Dwayne Melton. Honorary pallbearers include: Derrick Eller and Dwight Berrong.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Monday, June 18.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
