Velma Dale Lord

Velma Dale Lord, age 65 of Ellijay, GA, passed away September 9, 2019, in Ellijay, GA. Mrs. Lord was born June 4, 1954, in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Henry Kendall and the late Stella Panter Kendall. A member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lord, brothers, Larry Kendall and Vaughn Kendall, and sisters, Violet Kendall and Betty Mitchell.

Survivors include: daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Hughes; son, Frank Lord; brothers, Vic Kendall, Barney Kendall, Jerry Kendall, and Bob Kendall; sisters, Mary Jo Collins, Laura Bramlett, and Dot Griffin.

Funeral services: Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, GA with the Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Salem # 1 "Sugarhill" Baptist Church. Pallbearers: Vic Kendall, Weyland Collins, Josh Collins, Eric Sowers, Joey Kendall, and Thomas Lambert.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Tuesday, September 10, 2019, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
