Vaughn J. Patterson

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mr. Vaughn Patterson, age 73, of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at his home.

Vaughn was born in Union County on January 8, 1941, and remained a lifelong resident of Blairsville. He was of the Baptist faith, and had been preceded in death by his wife, "Tip" Patterson, who died earlier this year.

Vaughn leaves behind his loving family members: son, Joey Patterson, of Blairsville; daughter, Joanah Patterson, of Blairsville; and daughter, Jeanie Curbow, of Morganton, Georgia; grandchildren: Dave Patterson, Jeffrey Locke, Shana Curbow, and Shona Curbow; great grandchildren: Logan Allen, Bridgette Allen, Hailey Patterson, Haven Patterson, Halo Patterson, Ava Locke and Athan Locke.

Funeral Services for Vaughn have been scheduled for Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Joey Patterson, Dave Patterson, Jeff Locke, Joseph Allen, Gerald Nation, Bob Dillinger, and Logan Allen. Burial will be in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends on Saturday evening, April 12, 2014, between the hours of 6 until 9 p.m.
