Vaughn Harvey Nicholson

Mr. Vaughn Harvey Nicholson, age 85 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Union County Nursing Home.
Vaughn was born July 25, 1925 in Hiawassee, GA to the late Harvey and Eula Arrendale Nicholson . He was a member of First Baptist Church of Blarisville and an US Army Veteran during WWII. He was preceded in death by sisters, Faye Nichols and Madge Stephens, brother, Rex Nicholson.
Survivors include: brother, F.C. Nicholson of Blairsville, GA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 6P.M.at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, Blairsville, with Rev. Ray Potts officiating. Music provided by Phil Nichols. Interment will be in Union Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be, Phil Nichols, Anthony Nichols, Sonny Mahan, Devan Mahan, Ryan England and Larry Stephens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 4 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 409410, Atlanta, GA 30384-9410.
