Van H. Baine

Van H Baine, age 62, of McCaysville, GA, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at his home in McCaysville, GA. Van was born July 28, 1960, in Copperhill, TN to Herman Baine and Virginia Baine. Van was preceded in death by his wife, Clara "Lou" Baine; parents, Herman & Virginia Baine; and brothers, Danny Baine and Wayne Baine.

Van was a dedicated supporter and affiliate of St. Jude Research Hospital and HWY 64 Gym. He was a talented man who had many interests. He was a fisherman, he loved to dance, he sang and played the guitar. He loved to play golf. He loved to ride his motorcycle, especially with his friends. For many years he coordinated a ride in honor of his wife and sister-in-law with proceeds going to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. This was a project dear to him. Van was a friend to all. He could always be counted on to help anyone in need. He was loved by his many friends and family.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Debra White; special nieces, Beth Newton & Amber Gilreath; nephew, Chris Baine; special friends, Andrew Jones and Brandon Walk; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Memorial Service, on Saturday April 15, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Dillard officiating. Music provided by Shelly Utley.  Interment will be in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery.
