Mr. Thomas J Dillard, age 83 of Blue Ridge, passed away January 11, 2014 at Fannin Regional Hospital, Mr. Dillard was born December 19, 1930 in Copperhill, TN, to Bert Dillard and Maime Almond Dillard, he was preceded in death by his parents and son Michael Dillard.
He retired from the TN Copper Co. after 33 years of service as a copper smelter. He served his country in the U.S.Army. He was an avid fisherman and life long resident of Polk & Fannin counties.
Survivors include: son, James Terry Dillard, daughter and son-in-law Cathy Dillard (Juan) Sanchez, grandchildren; Randy Dillard, Marty Sanchez, Jeremy Loudermilk, Jamie Dillard & Judy Dillard, 7 great grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren.
