Thomas Harold Burgess

Thomas Harold Burgess, age 64 of Morganton, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Heritage Health Care Of Blue Ridge. Thomas was born Tuesday, June 8, 1943 in Fannin Co. Ga. to the late Vestal Burgess and the late Stella Waters Burgess. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and loved camping. He was preceded in death by brother and sister, Mitchel and Patricia Burgess.

Survivors include: wife, Estalene D. Burgess, son & daughter-in-law, Ricky & Theresa Burgess of Morganton, son & daughter-in-law, Randy & Linda Burgess of Blairsville, son & daughter-in-law, Rex & Mary Burgess of Epworth, son & daughter-in-law, Ray & Melissa Burgess of Blue Ridge, grandson, T. J. Burgess, grandson, Taylor Burgess, grandson, Matthew Burgess, grandson, Brandon Burgess, step granddaughters, Nicole & Sarah Darnell, step granddaughter, Terra Rose, step granddaughter and Tomi Payne, step great grandchildren, Dakota, Hunter and Brooklynn Payne.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 2:00PM from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Delmar Davenport and Reverend Denny Hawkins officiating. Music will be provided by Kenneth & Becky Thomas. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Jeff Nicholson, T. J. Burgess, Larry Sisson, Scott Dye, Dewayne Green and Scott Long.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Monday and Tuesday evening.
