Teena Marie Atkins

Teena Marie Atkins, age 55,of Blairsville, passed away March 15, 2022 at North East Georgia Medical Center. Teena was born September 10, 1966 in Blairsville, GA to the late Hughes Chatham and Margaret Orr.

Teena was born and raised in Blairsville, Ga  where she would later meet her husband, David Atkins, who would have been married for 38 years on April 10, 2022. She had a passion for Education and was a Teacher/ principal for many years. Along with her love for teaching she also would take many of trips to Maine with her family and created lifelong memories that will stay with each of them forever. She was also of Baptist Faith, and those who knew her will miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her  father, Hughes Chatham, and her grandchild, Charlie Atkins.

Survivors include: husband, David Atkins, son, Daniel (Trella) Atkins, son, Christopher Atkins, sister, Sherry Ellis, Brother, Lee (Rhonda) Chatham, Brother, David (Jackie) Chatham, Brother, Brent Chatham, sister, Denise (Ron) Bradburn, sister, Amanda (Shane) Thomas, sister, Alice (Leon) McDonald, grandchild, Tate Atkins, grandchild, Bo Atkins, mother, Margaret Orr Chatham.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Union County Performing Arts Center with Reverend Casey Jones and  Reverend David Atkins officiating. Music provided by Dr. Tom Jordan.   

Pallbearers will be David Atkins, Christopher Atkins, Daniel Atkins, Trey Thomas, Casey Jones, Terry Atkins.

The family will receive friends at the Union County Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 20th, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
