Taylor W. Jones, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015,following a long term illness resulting from Parkinson's and associated complications, at the age of 77. Mr. Jones was survived by his brother K. Bruce Jones, and his daughter, Allison Jones Cippola, and her children, Liam and Skylar. Mr. Jones was a native of Lexington, Kentucky, and the son of William E. Jones and Katherine W. Jones. He held a BA degree from the University of Kentucky, and a J.D. degree from Emory Law School. He served in the JAG Corps of the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Captain after 20 years of service. Mr. Jones was a prominent figure in Atlanta legal circles for over a half century of practice as a trial lawyer. He had a notable and successful career, and was a pioneer in pursuing and winning many professional, legal and medical malpractice cases throughout the United States. He led a very active life, being an expert water skier, avid scuba-diver, and traveled the world as a big-game hunter. He will be remembered as a larger-than-life figure. Mr. Jones remains will be interred in the same burial plot as his deceased wife, Diane, at Arlington Memorial Cemetery, Sandy Springs, Georgia.
