Mrs. Tammy Allan, age 56, of Blairsville, Georgia went home to Heaven on the morning of Friday, December 11, 2015.
Tammy was born in Toccoa, Georgia, on May 13, 1959, a daughter of Homer and Louise Payne. Tammy had lived in Blairsville since 2010, after many wonderful years in Ft. Pierce, Florida. She worked for Harbor Federal Bank, which later became PNC, for 29 years. She rose to Vice President of Loan Operations. Tammy fell in love with the city of Blairsville, and it's people - she later became the Director of Children's Ministry at First Baptist Church of Blairsville. Tammy was a member of Friends of the Library in Blairsville, and also, through Compassion International, she sponsored a child. She had a heart for Christ Jesus and loved His Word dearly. Many words could be used to describe this great woman.....most important would be INSPIRATION. She was a living example of how to live life to it's fullest. She lived love. She lived for and with Christ as her best friend. Well done good and faithful servant! Tammy will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, wife, and friend. She had been preceded in death by her husband, Randy Allan.
Tammy will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her - especially by her family and the children of First Baptist Church of Blairsville. Surviving family members include her parents, Homer and Louise Payne, of Blairsville; daughter, Sarah Allan, of Blairsville; brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Angie Payne, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Channy Payne, of Blairsville; nieces and nephews: Sierra Harrison, Aaron Harrison, Cole Payne, Maggie Payne, Nic Payne and his wife, Kassia, and Josh Payne.
