Susan Patterson

Susan Anne Patterson, age 74, of McCaysville, GA passed away on August 30, 2023. Born in Copperhill, TN, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Monroe Rutherford and Pauline Jesse Key Rutherford and sister to the late Vicki Jo Seabolt. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville and sang in the choir. Susan had retired after working 25 years as a licensed practical nurse for various hospitals and nursing homes in the north Georgia region. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Frank Patterson; Sons Ben and Cliff Hightower of Atlanta, GA; Stepdaughter Sherry (Mark) Earley; Stepson Mickey Patterson; and many nieces, nephews, and very special friends. Susan will be remembered for her kind heart, devotion to her family, and superior culinary skills. We will forever remember her warm heart, giving nature, and social spirit. 

Funeral services Monday, September 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating.  Interment to follow in the Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Mark Earley, Cliff Hightower, Daniel Elrod, Zack Sands, Charles Mull, and Kalin Patterson. 

The Family will recieve friends at Henry Cochran Funeral Home on Monday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour.
