Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces funeral services for Mrs. Sue Edwards Dills, age 64, of Lilburn, Georgia, who passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, in DeKalb Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia.
Mrs. Dills was born in Murphy, North Carolina, on September 4, 1947, a daughter of the late Grady Edwards and Bonnie Lee Nichols Edwards. She had lived in the Lilburn area since 1971. Mrs. Dills was of the Church of God faith, and she loved her home and her family.
Mrs. Dills will be greatly missed by all who knew here, but will be especially missed by her loving family: husband, Dickie Dills, of Lilburn; son, Matthew Dills, of Suwanee, Georgia; sisters: Norene Cimino, of Norcross, Georgia and Glenda Stephens, of Young Harris, Georgia; brothers, Chester Edwards of Dalton, Georgia, and Carl Edwards of Hiawassee, Georgia; many nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dills have been scheduled for Monday, June 4, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church, with Rev. Chester Edwards officiating. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Matthew Dills, Jacky Jones, Chris Payne, Rick Cantrell, Justin Cimino, and Jerry Nichols. The following gentlemen were selected to serve as honorary escort to the family: Mark Edwards, Manuel Payne, Curtis Shook, David Dills, and Jimmy Stephens. Burial will be in Burch Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, on Sunday, June 3, 2012; with the family meeting with friends between the hours of 2 until 6 p.m.
