Stephen McCoy

Stephen Douglas McCoy, 67, of Marble, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Stephen was born December 7, 1955 to the late Clyde and Frankie McCoy.

Stephen was preceded in death by father, Clyde McCoy; mother, Frankie Raper; son, Brad McCoy; brother, David McCoy; brother, Keith McCoy; stepson Chris "Hooty" Teesateskie.

He is survived by his spouse Christine McCoy; son Brian (Tammy) McCoy; sister Susan (Eddie) Chekelelee; grandson Brannon McCoy; grandson Blake McCoy; granddaughter Daphne McCoy; grandson Cole McCoy; grandson Logan McCoy; stepfather Herman Hunter; nephew Brett McCoy; neice Kayla Radford; niece Stacey Chastain; niece Nancy Noblet; niece Jessica Chekelelee; nephew Shane Hogsed; nephew Dustin Cannon; step daughter Heather (Adam) Wachacha; step grandchildren Zane Wachacha, Sierra Wachacha, Xander Wachacha, Xamuel Wachacha, and Bently Lambert; 2 step great grandchildren. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Stephen loved his family and loved to be a Handy man. Family will recieve friends at Cochran Funeral Homes of Murphy at 11:00am. Funeral service will follow at 12:00pm on Monday January 23, 2023, with Rev. Coy Adams officiating.
