Stella Jane Chambers

Stella Jane Chambers, age 95, of Blairsville, Georgia passed away on December 7, 2024 at her home. Mrs. Chambers was a life long resident of Blairsville. She was born on July 12, 1929 to Barney Brown and Velda Mason Brown. Stella was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Marion S. Chambers; brothers, Tom Brown and Luther Brown; sisters, Leila Warren, Della Mae Sparks and Grace Evelyn Brown. 

Mrs. Chambers spent her life as a homemaker, desiring to love and care for her family. As the wife of a farmer, she worked long hard hours beside her husband. She was of the Christian faith and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Blairsville, Georgia. Working with her hands, she was very accomplished at piecing scraps for quilts and worked in God's created nature in gardening. She was a diligent worker. Buddy, Cody, and Brandy stayed with her while their mom worked and she loved them like her own. 

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Chambers; sister, Betty Jones; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 2 pm from the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Blairsville, Georgia with Rev. Wade Plott officiating and music provided by House of Prayer Choir. A eulogy will be shared by Avis Shaw. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Blairsville, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday evening, December 10, 2024, starting at 6 P.M. at the Cochan-McDaniel Funeral Home in Blairville, Georgia. 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Mike Jones, Cody White, Walter Sparks, Chris Martin, Travis Plott, Trenniss "Buddy" Elliott, Colby Elliott and Cameron Elliott.
