Soloman "Ted" Dean

January 27, 1931 — January 1, 2015

Mr. Soloman "Ted" Dean, age 83 formerly of Blue Ridge, passed away January 1, 2015 at the Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mr. Dean was born January 27, 1931 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late James Horace Dean and the late Bessie Dean Jenkins. He was Baptist in faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert Young Dean and Horace Frank Dean, and three sisters, Shirley Dean Luffman, Ida Almeda Dean, and Elizabeth Dean Wyatt. Ted enjoyed gardening and furniture making in his spare time.

Survivors include his five children, David Dean, Danny Dean, Linda Lewis, Dale Dean, and Darrell Dean, two brothers, Thomas Dean, and Louie Dean, one sister, Sue Gilliam, sister-in-law, Rose Dean, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 13 nieces and 6 nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm on Saturday before the service.
