Sidney Lee Hicks

Sidney Lee Hicks, age 80 of Murphy, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017, at his home. Mr. Hicks was born March 28, 1937, in Farner, TN to the late Homer Lee Hicks and Lillian Gertrude Jones Hicks. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed gardening and fishing; he was a US Army Veteran serving in the 4 Infantry Division Headquarters Support Company, He was preceded in death by, Siblings, Lynn Pate, Troy Hicks, Betty Ruth Allen, Rebecca Ann Womble and son, Nathaniel Lynn Hicks.

Survivors include a companion, Myrtle Ann Williamson, grandchildren, Megan Lynn Hicks, Melanie Ann Hicks, Melissa Jane Hicks, Marilyn Chasity Hicks, six great-grandchildren, siblings, Lillian Dillard, Lunia Ray Hicks, Minnie Pearl Mashburn, Tony Jefferson Hicks, Melvin Larry Hicks.

Funeral services: Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 7:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitchel Allen and Rev. Carol Weaver officiating. Music provided by Joint Aires. The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Wednesday, October 18, 2017, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
