Mrs. Sheryl Lynne Smith Kapua, age 69 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at Union General Hospital.
Mrs. Kapua was born Tuesday, February 22, 1938 in Allegheny County, PA to the late Fred Duerr and Marie Aretz Duerr of Melrose, FL. She had lived most of her life in Lake Worth, Fl, before moving to Blairsville in 1990 and was a member of Blairsville Church of Christ.
Survivors, beside her mother, include: husband, Cleto Kapua of Blairsville, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Kellie & Ned O'Brien of Duluth, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Kay & Harold Savage of Lawrenceville, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Kerry & Rolando Paguaga of Stuart, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Kyle & Teri Smith of Royal Palm Beach, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Kirk & Kris Smith of Orlando, Fl, daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Chad Lariscy of Blairsville, GA, sisters, Joan Humphrey of Micco, FL, Bonnye Cox of Melrose, FL and Connye Plouffe of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 11 grandchildren, Maren, Larry, Ryan, Michelle, Reagan, Carson, Madison, Morgan, Cameron, Bryson and Mallory.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 5:00 P.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Harold Savage officiating. Interment will follow in Union Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Kyle Smith, Kirk Smith, Ned O'Brien, Larry Savage, Rolando Paguaga, Harold Savage, Chad Lariscy and Ryan Paguaga.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5, Saturday, June 23.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations may be made to Regency Hospice, PO Box 494, Hiawassee, GA 30546.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
