Shawn Ades was called home on April 12, 2024, at the age of 39.
He was born in Fort Myers, FL on August 13, 1984, to Bradley and Dawn Ades. Shawn was an athlete who participated in several sports and played college football at both Jacksonville University and Webber International University. He later found his calling as an educator and football coach at Riverdale High School in Ft. Myers, FL where he made life-long friendships. After moving to Blue Ridge, GA in 2019, he continued his passion for coaching and teaching at Fannin County High School where he impacted the lives of many students and colleagues.
Shawn centered his life around family and community. He was a friend to people from all walks of life and saw the best in others. As a teacher and coach, he mentored students and pushed his players to become better men. He was a devoted father, husband, brother, and son who loved boldly.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Heather, his children Cash, Katie and Jack; Parents Bradley and Dawn Ades; siblings Bradley (Angie) Ades, Robert (Sarah) Ades, Amity (Brandon) Kuhn, Danny (Holly) Ades and Amanda Ades. Shawn also had several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends whom mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Bob and Edith Barton, Jack and Marjorie Ades, Uncle Timothy Ades and Uncle Bob Potter.
