Sharon Lee Hunsucker

Sharon Lee Hunsucker, age 64 of Murphy, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at her Mother's home. Sharon was born October 9, 1950 in Murphy, NC to the late James "JD" David Yonce and Dorothy "Dot" Walsh Yonce. A member of the Upper Peachtree Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by father, J.D. Yonce, and husband, Terry Hunsucker. Sharon became well known in the community by working various jobs in retail and she also owned her own beauty shop. She was friendly and outgoing and had many friends. She enjoyed cooking and had a fondness for Elvis. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Survivors include: mother, Dorothy Yonce, son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Michelle Hunsucker, three grandchildren, Meraiah Hunsucker, Elijah Hunsucker and Aaron Hunsucker, brother and sister-in-law, David and Jan Yonce, two sisters, Diana Dockery and Dottie and her husband Tony Raxter. Also nieces and nephews, Destiny, Calicity, Lyden, Bella, Mason, Faith, Camdyn, Olivia, Briggs, Zaylee and Cassidy.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with the Rev. Tony Raxter officiating. Music provided by Kyle Hunsucker and Tony Trout. Interment will follow in the Peachtree Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chris Dockery, Graham Raxter, Ryan Mashburn, Bryan Lurther, Jeff Wilson and Jammey Dockery. Honorary pallbearer Tony Trout.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday before the service from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
