Scottie Leon Hooper

Mr. Scottie Leon Hooper, age 49, of Hiawassee, passed away Tuesday,  February 1, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.  Mr. Hooper was born February 13, 1972, in Hiawassee, GA, to the late J. C. Hooper and Sarah Louise Ledford Hooper.  He was a member of Upper Hightower Baptist Church in Hiawassee, had many interests, and did activities he enjoyed.  Scottie liked working on the computer, coloring, and doing puzzles.  He also loved music, singing, and playing the tambourine at his church.  Scottie was always friendly to everyone.  He loved people.  Scottie was preceded in death by his father, J. C.  Hooper.

Survivors include his mother, Sarah Louise Hooper.

Funeral service: Friday, February 4, 2022, at 3:00 pm from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Hiawassee with Rev. Darrell Rose and Rev. Donald Davenport officiating.  Music provided by Brandon Davenport.   Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Hiawassee.  Pallbearers: Austin King, Alex King, Earney Davenport, Ervin Davenport, Justin Davenport, Derek Davenport, and Fletcher Bradley.  Honorary pallbearers: Anthony Hooper.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee Friday, February 4, 2022, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
