Sarah Ann Kelley

Sarah Ann Kelley, age 86, a life long resident of Blairsville, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2024. Mrs. Kelley was born to the late John Logan Ledford and Hansel Mae Vesta Rogers on August, 20, 1938 in Blairsville, Georgia. Beside her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her loving and faithful husband, Rev. Wofford Kelley; a child, Michael Royce Kelley; brothers, Harry S. Ledford, John L. Ledford and sister, Rosella Watkins.

Sarah was of the Christian faith and maintained a very personal relationship with her Lord and Savior. Along side her husband, the late husband Rev. Wofford Kelley, she faithfully served the Lord in ministry. She was a very accomplished organist and pianist playing the songs of faith. She was also an accomplished vocalist. Together, they founded and ministered in the Blairsville Christian Center where she served as an ordained minister and musician. They traveled the world together in mission trips sharing the Gospel message.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Ann (Chris) Carr; five grandchildren, Brandon Carr, Ryan Carr, Arenda Garcia, April Daniel and Andrew Kelley; great grandchildren, Mia, Isaac, Wyatt, Audrey, and Eva.

Funeral services to celebrate her homegoing will be held at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Blairsville, Georgia on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Hughes officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral service hour.

Interment will follow the service in Union Memory Gardens in Blairsville, Georgia.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Brandon Carr, Ryan Carr, Andrew Kelley, Patrick Ledford, Bake Daniel and Eric Deaver. Honorary pallbearers include Daniel Garcia and Brian Parnell.
