Sarah Eulene Dean Breedlove, age 89, passed away on December 9, 2023 in Loganville, Georgia. Sarah was born on October 31, 1934, to the late Harold Ed Dean Sr. and Viola Adams Dean in Polk County, Tennessee.
She was the first female commander of the DAV in North Georgia and served with the North Georgia Honor Guard. The first DAV van was purchased to aid veterans in travel when she was the commander and raised funds for a second van to be purchased. Ms. Breedlove was proud to be a veteran of the United States Army and was known to many for her continued service through the North Georgia Honor Guard.
She was a member of the Corinth Christian Church.
She is survived by her son, James Robert "Bobby" Breedlove (Michelle) of Monroe, Georgia; grandchildren, Brett Breedlove, Nichole Hendrick, Teresa Hedrick, Justin Creamer and Hayley Creamer; five great-grandchildren; brother Charles Danny "Buck" Buchanan (Shirley); Sister-in-law, Sandra Dean; nephews Jason Buchanan (Melissa), Christian Dean, Michael Dean; and nieces, Carley Dean, Janice Dean Rogers, and Amiee McCormick.
A Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday, December 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, Georgia with Dr. Tom Jordan Officiating. Graveside service will follow in the Chastain Memorial Gardens with the North Georgia Honor Guard officiating.
The family will receive friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
