Sanford Edward Miller

Mr. Sanford Edward Miller, age 90 of Blue Ridge, passed away February 8, 2015 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mr. Miller was born September 12, 1924 in Culberson, NC to the late Clifford Miller and the late Birdy Loudermilk. He attended Freedom Fellowship, and enjoyed camping, fishing and deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Loretta Nell Miller, sister, Ruby Burnette, grandchildren, Mark Davis, Roger Lee Allen, Christopher Hamby and Jonathon Peeler and 2 great-granddaughters, Carley Grizzle and Britney Sandeiler.

Survivors include: daughter, Carolynn L. (Roger) Allen, daughter, Patsy Miller Davis, son, Charles (Faye) Miller, daughter, Marilyn Cook, son, Eddie (Phyllis) Miller, daughter, Charlotte Teague, daughter, Deborah (Roger) Dalton, brother, Juan (Cotton) Miller, twenty eight grandchildren, forty six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services: Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. William Ashe officiating. Interment will follow in the New Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Michael Davis, David Miller, Jason Allen, Glen Dilbeck, Steven Whitlow and Chris Miller. Honorary pallbearers: John McClure, James Peeler, Chad Stephens, Mathew Dilbeck and James Miller.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Tuesday, February 10, 2015, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
