Mrs. Sandra Kelley Robinson, age 63 of Austell, GA, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, April 19, 2007.
Mrs. Robinson was born Monday, July 5, 1943 in Union County, GA to the late Paul C. Kelley and Blanche Walsh Kelley. She was a member of Church of Apostles in Atlanta. Sandra spent her life teaching others, first in Liberia as a Baptist Journeyman, then in the Floyd and Cobb County School Systems. She has taught the Bible for over 30 years and has been instrumental in starting prayer groups all over the state of Georgia. Her love for God was evident to all who knew her.
Survivors include: husband, H. C. Robinson of Austell, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Terry Queen of Blairsville, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Judy Kelley of Blairsville, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Barbara Kelley of Columbus, GA, aunt, Opal Patton of Blairsville, GA, nieces and nephews, Terry, Peggy, Whitney and Matthew Kelley, Rhonda, Jeff, Brady, Bryce and Kait McCarter, Kelley, Duane, Bethany and Reece Manders, Christy Queen, Michael Kelley, Richard, Coty and Tinsli Kelley, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oscar and Martha Howard of Marietta.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 4:00 pm from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Helton and Rev. Gary Hewins officiating. Music will be provided by Patricia Carver. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Bryan Roberts, Jack Gibbs, Larry Owenby, Dick Hagman, Bryan Alison and Gary Fausti.
The family will receive friends at Cochran Funeral Home, Blairsville, starting at 5, Saturday, April 21.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April, 24 at 2:00 pm from the Church of Apostles, 3585 Northside Pwy, Atlanta, GA with Rev. Gary Hewins and Rev. Stan Carder officiating. Music will be provided by Cathy Russo and Stan Whitmire.
The family will accept flowers or if you wish donations, in memory of Sandra, may be made to Leading The Way, 3583 Northside Pwy., Atlanta, GA 30321.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
