Mrs. Ruth Adam, age 95, of McCaysville, GA passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 following a breif illness. Ruth was born May 16, 1916 in Fannin County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Callie Stepp.
Ruth was the wife of the late James Adams. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to church and singing in the choir. Ruth is a member of the McCaysville Church of God Church, and always lived a good christian life.
She has one son, Bill Adams of Ducktown, TN; two grandsons, Ricky Adams of Knoxville, TN, and Gavin Adams of Canton, GA; two great grandsons, Arean Adams, and Brandon Adams; one brother, Roy Stepp of Blue Ridge, GA and one sister, Dorothy Westbrook of McCaysville, GA and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be held Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Finch-Cochran Funeral home Chapel with opening of the service by Rev. Steve Lamb the pastor of her church and Rev. Tony Stalling will deliver the message.Honorary pallbearers will be the McCaysville Church of God Choir, and the Life Care of Copper Basin nurses. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge
Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday evening 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
