Mrs. Ruth June LeFevers Cook, age 90, formerly of Wolf Creek, NC passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Mrs. Cook was the daughter of the late William Esthmus LeFevers and the late Anna McDonald LeFevers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Cook and two brothers, Wayne and Max LeFevers.
Ruth had a natural talent as a seamstress and other assorted needle arts. She also enjoyed gardening with her roses, peonies, dahlias and tulips. Her strong Christian faith led her daily and as she volunteered for various church activities. Christmas and the holidays were a time of special enjoyment for her as she prepared the meals that always included everyone's favorite dish. But by far, her greatest joy came from spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Steve Cook and wife Judy of Nashville, TN, two daughters, Elizabeth Holland and husband Kelly of South Union, KY and Janet Longwell and husband Mike of Houston, TX, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home in McCaysville, GA. The funeral service will be held after visitation at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with the burial at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Wolf Creek. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made by donations to your local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
