Mrs. Ruth Jeanette Parker, age 86 of Adairsville, GA, formerly of Suches passed away December 23, 2013 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, GA. Mrs. Parker was born February 3, 1927 in Suches, GA to the late Ben Ash and the late Bertha Tritt Ash. A member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by husband, Rev. Eugene Parker, brother, Ralph Tritt, sister, Barbara Anderson, and an infant sister. She enjoyed sewing and listening to and playing blue grass and gospel music. She also loved cooking and playing with her grandkids.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Orlando Wilson, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Greg Walls, brothers and sisters, Wade Ash, Ford Ash, Junior Ash, Pauline Lovell, Irene Porter, and Paul Tritt, four grandchildren, Gene Wilson, Amber Walls, Stacy Stewart, and Bethany Walls, ten great-grandchildren, Carson Jones, Nina Jones, Ansley Walls, Tatum Stanfield, Jayna Wilson, Walker Wilson, Vana Stewart, Carsen Stanfield, Dylan Walls, and Easton Walls. Also many nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. William Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Barry Bagley, Rodney Fields, Ricky Lovell, Jason Stanfield, Tim Tritt, and Gene Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers are Wade Ash, Scott Burger, Gary Porter, and Anthony Tritt.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 12-2 pm.
