Mrs. Ruth Hasty, age 86 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at her residence. Ruth was born Thursday, November 9, 1922 to the late Cass Edwards and the late Amanda Roberts Fuller. She was a member of Bealwood Baptist Church of Columbus, GA and was preceded in death by husband, Hugh D. Hasty, brothers, Charles and Milton Edwards.
Survivors include: daughter, Glenda Church of Hiawassee, GA, grandson, Christopher Church of Alpharetta, GA, grandson, Kevin Scott Church of Oxford, GA, great granddaughter, Christy Church Jones and great great grandchildren, Brenden, Tayler and Joshua Jones all of Grenada, MS.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. from the Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to Regencey Hospice.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
