Ruth Elizabeth Jones (Tallent)

Mrs. Ruth Tallent Jones, age 95, of Spartanburg, SC, formerly of McCaysville, Georgia, passed away October 5, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. Ruth was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and was employed as a Home Economic Teacher, before becoming a mother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville/Copperhill. Ruth was a wonderful fun loving person with a great sense of humor. She loved her family and enjoyed making movies and photographing her family and friends. She also enjoyed collecting history of the Basin Area.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Grady E. Jones; parents, Oscar Tallent and Ethel Adeline Howard Tallent; brother, William Gus Tallent; sisters, Blanche Howard, and Doris Bell Wininger.

Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Ginger & Geary Queen of Spartanburg, SC; two grandsons, Andrew Geary Queen, and Michael Grady Queen both of Spartanburg, SC..

Funeral services: Saturday, October 8, 2011at 2:00 P.M. from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will visit with family and friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery.
