Ruth Collins, age 81, of Morganton, passed away Friday April 16, 2010 following injuries recieved in an auto accident. Mrs. Collins was born Aug. 6, 1928 in Cobb County, GA to the late Joseph Emory Harper, Sr. and Tennie Mae Pope Harper.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ebb Collins and sister, Flora Carter..
Survivors include: Brother, Joseph Harper, Jr. of Mineral Bluff, Brother, Thomas Roland Harper of Pickens, SC, sister, Ruby Galloway of Marietta, sister, Frances Wright of Morganton,several neices and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 19, 2010 at 2:00PM from the Henry Cochran Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Paul Adams and Rev. Virgil (Buck) Harper officiating. Music will be provided by Shelia Thomas. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.
